About Kristina
Kristina is a passionate registered acupuncturist whose interest in holistic wellness spans nearly two decades. Inspired by her travels, her own path to optimal health, and her love for culture and diversity, Kristina ultimately chose to focus her career on building and maintaining wellness and longevity through Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her practice is inspired by the Ngui family, whom she completed an internship with in Toronto, studying under a 24-generation lineage of Chinese medicine masters.
Kristina feels that Holistic medicine should entail a multi-faceted approach, with consideration of physical, mental, emotional, social and environmental factors. Her practice focuses on ultimate wellness and harmony of body, mind, and spirit. She believes that healing happens in waves, and she adapts her approach to meet each client where they are. Kristina utilizes a variety of tools in her practice, such as acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, energy management, movement, chinese food therapy and herbs.
Ultimately, Kristina believes that the body holds the innate wisdom to heal itself. Her goal is to educate and empower you to take charge of your health. She thrives on working alongside each individual to achieve their wellness goals, and is always happy to be a part of your team, collaborating with your chosen practitioners to help you reach optimal health. Kristina resides in beautiful Whistler, where she experiences the teachings of nature daily. Much of Chinese medicine philosophy is based on observation of the natural world, and her heart is most at peace when she is in nature, surrounded by family, friends and community. Kristina is delighted to be serving the community with her unique wellness offerings.

Chi Kung
Chi Kung is an ancient healing practice that involves breath work, body movement, visualization, and intention. It is one of the great mysteries of the orient and the root of well-being in Chinese Medicine. The word “Chi” means energy and “Kung” means work. So the practice of Chi Kung is to manage and cultivate our energy.
Chi Kung uses therapeutic techniques to cultivate, clean, balance and develop vital energy. The goal of Chi Kung is to expand our physical health, longevity, awareness, and consciousness. It’s a practice allowing us to fully embody our physical and spiritual being and the present moment. To connect with the totality of the universe and experience more joy.
In this practice you will learn:
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an integrative Chinese medicine practice that uses strategic placement of tiny needles at designated body points. Acupuncture stimulates the flow of chi (the life force which Chinese medicine and philosophy is based on.) The practitioner uses the needles to stimulate the nervous system, creating biochemical
changes that encourage blood flow, provide pain relief and promote both physical and emotional well-being.
Cupping
Cupping therapy is a time honoured alternative medicine practice. The practitioner places cups (usually glass) on your skin. This creates suction, which stimulates blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation. Fire cupping is when fire is carefully used to heat the cups. This helps to draw out toxins, among other benefits.
Body-Mind Therapy
Body-mind therapy is a combination of eastern and western psychology.
The ultimate goal is a reconnection with our somatic, psychological, and spiritual selves. Body centered somatic therapy techniques are used to connect to the innate wisdom of the body and liberate blocked energies and neurotic patterns. There is also a transpersonal part, where we integrate spiritual traditions and tools to connect with spirit and higher wisdom. This therapy is designed for those who are seeking connection and integration of the body, mind and spirit. It is a deep dive into the subconscious to transform old patterns. A journey back to ourselves to connect to our inner wisdom and true nature.
Therapeutic Techniques used are:
-Somatic therapy
-Gestalt therapy
-Dream therapy
-Transpersonal therapy
-Shadow work
-Chi Kung
